TRANSWAGGON celebrates 60th anniversary

It’s TRANSWAGGON’s birthday! For 60 years, we have been committed to flexibility, customer focus and innovation – values that have laid the foundation for our success. As a family-run business, we have not only maintained our independence, but also continuously expanded our market position in the European rail freight sector. That's something to be proud of! Our approach has made us one of the leading wagon keepers in Europe. What makes us unique, though, is our focus on the people behind the projects – both within our company and at our customers.

Today, TRANSWAGGON is much more than just a lessor of wagons. Increasingly, we are taking on the role of the "all-in-one provider" offering integrated, customised and sustainable transport solutions. We provide our customers with technical, organisational and logistical expertise that helps them meet their challenges efficiently and sustainably. Together, we have always put our trust in the safest and most environmentally friendly means of transport: rail. With every tonne of freight that we take off the road, we are making an active contribution to reducing CO2 emissions. The figures speak for themselves: the CO2 emitted per tonne and kilometre by road is about seven times higher than by rail. A single freight train can replace up to 52 trucks. What’s more, the risk of accidents in rail freight transport is around 40 times lower than it is in road transport.
