The TRANSWAGGON story started way back on 9 February 1965, when TRANSWAGGON AG opened its doors in Zug, Switzerland. The company was born from the groundbreaking idea of our founder, Udo-Wolfgang Benthin, to rent more functional wagons to customers, railway undertakings and freight companies. And the rest is history.
Since that initial milestone fifty-seven years ago, the company has gone from strength to strength and is now a leading name in Europe for the transport of dry goods by rail.
