At TRANSWAGGON, we are constantly investing in digital innovation to support our customers and e-services. The entire information system has been developed in-house and is continuously updated to improve internal processes and how we communicate with our customers and partners. At its centre is a powerful Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, the TRANSWAGGON Wagon-Operating System (WOPS), which connects all our locations across Europe and controls sensors and other on-board wagon devices. Maintenance, core processes and online customer services are all supported by this system.

Digital management of data and processes
The core processes include an automated system for allocating wagons and compiling trains as well as handling the management of complementary logistics services and door-to-door delivery. It also processes the data transmitted by on-board GPS devices to provide real-time, data-based communication with the Group’s technical structures, clients, railway undertakings and logistics companies.

On-line services
On-line communication with customers is managed as required through a Customer Information System (CIS) portal which converts data into e-services – from expected arrival to tracking and tracing wagons and live updates. But that’s not all: we have updated the TRANSWAGGON on-board wagon tracking architecture to provide the same information via mobile devices in the TRANSWAGGON Freight Buddy® app.
